From among all the messages we receive by March 1, we'll choose one at random and give the sender the opportunity to become one of the characters that will be appearing in Runaway 2.

 

SPECIAL COLLECTORS' EDITION
21 October 2003

The special collectors' edition that Focus Home Interactive published in France just a few weeks ago has become a big success.

In addition to the game itself, the edition includes a CD with the soundtrack composed by David García Morales and the songs by Liquor, as well as a DVD with a 25-minute TV report including interviews with the creators, several previews and a great sample of sketches, storyboards, character designs, backgrounds, etc.

 

RUNAWAY: GAME OF THE YEAR IN FRANCE!

This acknowledgment has come as a nice surprise after that of the public, journalists and video game professionals.

Runaway was chosen Best PC Game of the Year in France during the Digital Awards evening arranged in conjunction with the Samsung World Cyber Games Championship. The jury was made up of journalists from the specialized press, members of the multimedia producers association (APOM), Bertrand Amar of Canal J and Jean Claude Larue, president of SELL.

 

MORE COUNTRIES FOR BRIAN AND GINA

September began with the expected publication of Runaway in the United States and Finland and will end with the game's publication in Hungary. Shortly after, it will be published in Poland, Australia, Portugal and Greece.

 

THE DUTCH WEBSITE IS UP

NOW AVAILABLE IN ITALY

The Italian version of Runaway is now available in stores all over the country. You can find more details about this version, as well as a spectacular preview, at the website on the game's distributor, FX Interactive.

 

HEADING NORTH

Runaway is continuing its expansion throughout Europe and now, thanks to an agreement reached with a new distributor, BJ Electronics Software, it is Scandinavia's turn. Yes, soon players in Sweden, Denmark and Norway will also have the opportunity to enjoy the adventures of Brian, Gina and company.

 

RUNAWAY TRIUMPHS IN FRANCE

It seems like France has been experiencing true Runaway madness since the game was launched a few weeks ago. After it came out, the game rocketed up to number 3 on the lists of the highest selling games and has received a great number of excellent reviews.

We would like to thank the whole team at Focus Home Interactive, especially Cedric Lagarrigue and Sebastien Pensivy, for their enormous enthusiasm and trust in Runaway, as well as Words of Magic, for its excellent adaptation of the game into French.

 

CONQUERING THE AMERICAS

Finally, though the launch date has not yet been set, Runaway will be reaching North America thanks to an agreement reached with the company Tri-Synergy, which is responsible for distributing such hugely successful game titles as The Longest Journey in the United States and Canada.

Little by little, Runaway is broadening its horizons. This time the Netherlands and Belgium are the countries which will soon be enjoying the adventures of Brian, Gina and company. MediaMix will be in charge of distributing the game in these two countries.

BACK HOME

Early work for the new cover by Luis RoyoAs occurred last year with Hollywood Monsters, FX Interactive and Pendulo Studios have once again joined forces to re-launch the game in Spain. Therefore, very shortly, Spanish game lovers will get the chance to enjoy a new edition of this adventure, which has triumphed all over Europe.

We would like you to take part in this project, so we have set up an e-mail account at runaway@fxplanet.com, where we will receive all of your suggestions and the changes you would like to have made to the new version. All of your proposals will go into the final stage of development and, starting on February 28, we will inform those participants who are finally included. Thanks for your contributions!

In addition to other improvements, the new edition of Runaway will have a cover designed by Luis Royo, the most important video game illustrator in Spain, and new dubbing for the main character Gina, by the Spanish voice-over actress for Angelina Jolie.

 

FRANCE AND POLAND GET THE GAME

Brian and Gina are about to begin their intensive language courses in French and Polish this Christmas. Thanks to agreements reached with Focus Home Interactive and Topware Interactive, you will be able to find Runaway at stores in France and Poland next spring.

 

BRITISH VERSION CONFIRMED

The UK will be enjoying Brian and Gina's adventures next spring. GMX Media will be in charge of distributing Runaway in the United Kingdom.

 

RUNAWAY IS A HUGE SUCCESS IN GERMANY
10 December 2002

Runaway has been awarded over 30 prizes during its first month of distribution in Germany and Austria. Both the traditional press and online sites have showered the game with praise.
